THE ZACCHAEUS PROJECT
"Today I must stay at your house"
When Jesus came by, He looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by his name.
"Zacchaeus!" He said. "Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today."
Luke 19:5
ABOUT
The Zacchaeus Project
Inspired by the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus in Luke 19, we want to go to the ones who are the most vulnerable and 'unseen'. We visit them with the Love and Power of God at the place where they are at, seeking together the Presence of Jesus Christ.
LUKE 19:1-10
The Story of Zacchaeus
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.
So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see Him, since Jesus was coming that way.
When Jesus reached the spot, He looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."
So he came down at once and welcomed Him gladly.
All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the Guest of a sinner."
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."
Jesus said to Him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of Man came to seek and safe the lost."
FOUNDATIONS
The love of Jesus Christ for that one person, for whom He gave His life.
To come on a personal level and to really see a person.
To visit the lost at the place where they are at, sharing the Word of God, to be in His Presence and to have fellowship together.
We believe that the love of Jesus for the ones hidden away, causes lives to be Transformed.
HOW WE SERVE:
Through the Zacchaeus Project we go to groups of people, like victims of human trafficking and people from shelters.
Together with them we worship Jesus, share of the Word of God and we pray and minister.
We come on a personal level, like Jesus Himself, have fellowship, being around the table and sharing meals together.
Services and Fellowship
Visiting
We go and visit people at the place where they are at to share the Gospel, to pray and to give practical help.
We have small and bigger outreaches and provide opportunities for other Christians to walk along with us, so they can be inspired to see the lost and share the Love of God.
Prayer
Together we pray and intercede for groups of people and certain areas.
Before our outreaches we have Prayer Walks, asking the Holy Spirit to touch the place and the surroundings.
